Why I Founded ORDELAS

Phillip M. Huber, Founder

I lost both of my parents—my father first, and later my mother.

Like many families, I found myself navigating unfamiliar systems, difficult decisions, paperwork, healthcare providers, funeral arrangements, and responsibilities I never expected to manage—all while trying to simply be present with the people I loved.

Looking back, I realized something.

The hardest part wasn't any one decision. It was trying to coordinate them all at the same time.

Hospitals focused on medical care. Hospice focused on comfort. Funeral professionals handled final arrangements. Attorneys managed legal matters. Government agencies had their own requirements. Every organization had an important role.

But no one was responsible for helping my family understand how all of those pieces fit together.

The responsibility for connecting everything fell to us.

That experience changed the way I think about end-of-life care. I realized families don't just need information—they need someone who understands the entire journey, can bring clarity to complex situations, and help coordinate the many moving parts while allowing loved ones to focus on what matters most.

ORDELAS was created to be that guide.

We exist to provide the clarity, coordination, and trusted support that we wish our own family had when we needed it most.

How ORDELAS Supports Families

ORDELAS provides practical, nonclinical guidance before, during, and immediately after a death. We help families organize information, clarify responsibilities, communicate with professionals, and move through the next steps with a clear plan.

CLARITY

Families deserve to understand what comes next.

We help simplify complex decisions, explain unfamiliar processes, and provide a clear path forward—one step at a time.
